How to donate shoes and clothing
to Alice’s Wardrobe
What should I donate?
We are looking for women’s shoes, sizes 11 and up. We love sizes 12 and 13! We would be ecstatic to receive size 14 or 15 women shoes! Those shoes you loved when you bought them, wore a couple of times and then stuck them in the back of your closet? We want them.
We are also looking for clothing in women’s tall or large sizes in great condition, especially dresses and feminine tops.
How do I donate?
There are several different ways to get your shoes and clothing to Alice’s Wardrobe:
1. If you are in Los Angeles, you can drop off donations at the Council Thrift Shop, 360 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90036, during business hours. There is easy parking for donations in the back of the store, accessible from the alley. Mark the box or bag “Alice” and they will take care of it from there.
If there is another Council Thrift Shop in Los Angeles that is more convenient to you, mark your donation “Alice,” drop it off during business hours and it will be transferred to the Fairfax store. All store locations and their hours are listed here.
2. If you are in Orange County, CA, please email us and we can arrange a pick-up.
3. If you are outside the Los Angeles area, we still would really love your donations! Please ship to:
360 N. Fairfax Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90036
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes. Donations to the Council Thrift Shops in Los Angeles benefit NCJW/LA’s programs and services for women, children and families, and are tax deductible.
